Physiotherapistin Sint-Kruis

Six physiotherapists in the heart of Sint-Kruis. For your back, your knee, your shoulder, your recovery after surgery — or simply because you no longer move the way you'd like to.

  • You're treated for longer than 30 minutes. Recovery takes time, and we give you that time.
  • You pay a maximum of €6.5 per session. We are contracted and use the third-party payer system: no supplements, no paperwork for you. With increased reimbursement you pay less.
  • Six physiotherapists, each with their own specialisations. So we can treat your complaint properly.
The six physiotherapists of Kine In Motion at the practice
Yep, that's us.
  • 6 physiotherapists

    each with their own specialisations

  • Contracted

    official RIZIV rates, no supplements

  • Third-party payer

    you only pay the co-payment

  • Home visits too

    when you can't move

What can you come to us for?

From a sprained ankle to rehabilitation after a stroke. Because there are six of us, our specialisations are broad enough to cover almost everything. If we can't help you, we'll gladly refer you to a colleague nearby.

  • Sports injuries

Hamstring, ankle, knee, shoulder. We get you back on the pitch and — just as importantly — we make sure you stay there. An injury that comes back three times isn't bad luck, it's an unfinished rehabilitation.

  • Overuse injuries

That tendon that keeps flaring up. Shin splints. A tennis elbow from something that has nothing to do with tennis. We work out where the overload is coming from and help you get rid of it.

  • Back, shoulder and neck complaints

From lingering lumbago to neck pain from too much screen work. We treat you at the practice and give you exercises to take home — otherwise the problem is simply back in three months.

  • Recovery before and after surgery

Stronger going in, faster coming out. We prepare you for knee, hip, shoulder or cruciate ligament surgery, then follow your surgeon's protocol afterwards. You'll know in advance roughly what your path looks like and how long it takes.

  • Balance and fall prevention

Falling once changes a lot. Not just physically — your confidence takes a hit too. We train strength, balance and reaction, step by step, until you dare to do what you used to do.

  • Neurological rehabilitation

After a stroke, or with MS or Parkinson's. We start from what is possible today and work from there: walking, balance, independence, everyday tasks. Realistic about what's possible, and stubborn in looking for what is.

  • Rheumatism and osteoarthritis

For osteoarthritis, movement is the best treatment there is. But it has to be the right movement, at the right pace. Too little and it stiffens, too much and it flares. We find that balance together.

  • Breathing

Respiratory physiotherapy for COPD, asthma, chronic bronchitis or hyperventilation. For adults and for children.

Don't see your complaint? Call us — we're happy to think it through with you.

How do we work?

Every course of treatment here looks broadly like this. How long each step takes depends on you — and we'll tell you honestly after the first appointment.

  1. 01

First we find out what's going on

Your first appointment starts with listening. What happened, what no longer works, and what do you want to be able to do again? Then we examine you thoroughly. You'll get a clear explanation and an estimate of how many sessions you're likely to need.

  2. 02

    We treat what needs treating

Manual therapy, dry needling, taping, Redcord. We choose what suits your complaint — often a combination of techniques.

  3. 03

    We rebuild

This is the step that gets skipped most often, and it's exactly why complaints come back. With exercise therapy we build strength, control and confidence. We only stop when you're doing what you wanted to do again.

The practice's exercise room, with wall bars, Redcord suspension straps and exercise equipment.

  • Exercise therapy

The heart of it all. Treatment relieves the pain; exercise keeps it from returning. That’s why our practice has a fully equipped exercise room: here, under supervision, you train with the level of resistance that’s right for you at that moment. A little more with each session, until your body can handle whatever you ask of it again.

  • Manual therapy

Targeted hands-on techniques to loosen joints and reduce muscle tension. After treatment you'll feel more freedom of movement and less pain.

  • Redcord

Training with suspension ropes, using your own body weight as resistance. It sounds exotic but it isn't: it lets us dose the load precisely and engage deep stabilising muscles that ordinary exercises don't reach well enough.

  • Dry needling

A thin needle into a trigger point — a knot in the muscle. It gives quick pain relief and better circulation. Often as a complement to another therapy. And no, it isn't acupuncture.

  • Taping

Tape that supports a joint or relieves a muscle, so you can keep moving while recovery runs its course.

  • Lymphatic drainage

A gentle, painless technique to drain fluid build-up, for example after surgery or with lymphoedema.

So, what does it cost?

Good question — and one most practices only answer once you've already called. Not here.

€6.5

per treatment

That's the maximum you pay yourself with a valid doctor's prescription. Your health insurer pays the rest.

What's included

  • An initial examination
  • Your treatment of at least 30 minutes
  • Every technique we need: dry needling, shockwave, Redcord, taping. No supplement for any of it
  • Exercises to do at home

What isn't included — and we'd rather say so now than afterwards

  • A home visit costs a few euros more than treatment at the practice, also under the contracted rate
  • Without a doctor's prescription you pay the full rate, because there's no reimbursement
  • If you don't show up without at least 24 hours' notice, we charge for the session. Not out of spite: someone else could have had that slot
  • The number of reimbursed sessions per calendar year is limited and counts across all physiotherapists. If you've already seen another physio this year, tell us

RIZIV rates are adjusted annually. The amounts above are indicative; the official RIZIV rate always applies and varies from patient to patient.

We are contracted. That means we stick to the official RIZIV rates. No more, no less. Some physiotherapists don't, and they may charge what they like. That's their right — contracted rates have been under pressure for a long time.

We use the third-party payer scheme. In plain language: we settle directly with your health insurer, and you only pay the co-payment on the spot. So you don't have to front the full amount and wait weeks for it.

If you're entitled to increased reimbursement, your amount is lower still. Not sure whether that applies to you? Ask us, and we'll work it out together.

No surprises, then. Shall we put something in the diary?

Six physiotherapists, six specialisations, one practice in Sint-Kruis. We consult each other often about our treatments and keep our training up to date.
